Your healthy spending, turned into medical care
We built MedSlip on a simple idea: the money you spend staying healthy — starting with your gym — should be payable with the HSA and FSA dollars you've already set aside.
The practice behind the platform
MedSlip is a digital health platform that connects board-certified physicians with people who want to put their HSA and FSA dollars toward the things that actually keep them healthy.
We focus on one thing and do it properly: the Letter of Medical Necessity — the physician-signed document that makes a gym membership, and other wellness expenses, eligible for HSA/FSA reimbursement under IRC §213(d).
Every letter is signed by a board-certified physician with a verifiable NPI, names your diagnosed condition, and is protected under HIPAA. No templates. No AI signatures. No automation pretending to be a doctor.
Dr Adam Zvi Kawalek
After 15+ years as a hospitalist and internist, I watched patients do all the right things for their health — join a gym, work on their weight, manage their blood pressure — and pay for every bit of it with after-tax money, while thousands of dollars sat unused in their HSA and FSA accounts.
The tax code actually allows those dollars to cover a gym membership when a physician documents it as treatment for a diagnosed condition. The only thing standing between most people and that benefit is a single piece of paper — a Letter of Medical Necessity — that almost no one knows how to get.
I built MedSlip to close that gap: a real physician review, done properly and affordably, that turns the healthy spending you're already doing into pre-tax medical care. No waiting room, no upselling — just the documentation you're entitled to.
